Like Wil Collins & Willpower was def. imported into the UK.... link Bloody hell the good old "Electric Shop"! used to go there in mid70s picked up Benny Troy amongst others, Carstairs didn't realise it was a boot/2nd issue (pink) & loads of general import soul, funk, disco ish stuff + occasional Northern bits. Steve the bloke who sold records was a great guy but always having very heated arguments with the owner, "Steve please turn the music down" f*** off how do you expect me to sell 'em He used to go to Moondogs & pick up the latest imports every week, rush back & flog 'em to me in the lunch hour, then come down to a little pub in Houndsditch where I used to play 'em. 30years ago
