John Reed Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 (edited) Minits - Still A Part of Me - Sounds of Memphs £481 Have I missed something here. How long has this tune been worth nearly £500? Edited October 16, 2008 by John Reed
pikeys dog Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Have I missed something here. How long has this tune been worth nearly £500? Pretty sure I sold one a few years back at the Sheridans allnighters - was about £20....
paultp Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 (edited) Tommy Neal - Going To A Happening - Pameline £167 That is double what I paid for my copy on Palmer, the yellow Pameline is surely no more than a ton record? Billy Hambric £347? And the Minits at £481 None of these are rare enough to justify these prices, well done to the sellers though, light that cigar! Lazy buyers with too much money or no sense. Ian Dewhirst Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Who said there's a global financial crisis ? This is the problem. It's quite obvious that all the international hedge funds have switched from the volatile financial markets over to old Northern Soul records. Here's my approximate percentage rate of appreciation since I owned these same records:- Lou Pride - It's A Man's World c/w Your Loving Is Fading - Suemi £762 2600% Dean Parrish - I'm On My Way - Laurie promo £299 1,400% Four Tops - Something About You - Tamla Motown demo £275 2500% Any truth in the rumour that Morgan Stanley have approached JM for a leveraged buyout? Dave Pinch Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Have I missed something here. How long has this tune been worth nearly £500? worth a grand for the quality alone but maybe only 200 for the rarity. theres nothing between the issue and the demo
