Chris Anderton Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Whilst travelling back from Grantham last week I heard the Marc Rapson edit of Marvins "Heard it through the grapevine" on radio 2. What a great version...really stopped me in my tracks... Does anyone have a clip if it to share or know if its going to be coming out anywhere? Cheers, Chris
Sutty Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 there's going to be a glut of these (there's another version just released on 45 as well) as there parts have been leaked out, i've got these ones and several others - what's going on/mercy, mercy me/ain't nothing like the real thing/ain't no mountain high enough, plus some other artists (Stevie Wonder 'superstition', Bob Marley, etc). The one you're talking about has taken the basic track and re-edited it and added a dub-like echo to the guitar part. I was messing about with the track a while back and did some rough mixes without strings, i'll find them and load one or two up (then you can all have a good laugh!) cheers Sutty

Funny one that Sutty. Devoid of strings, horns and backing singers this sounds like I'm next door to a big club room and have lost my way. Keep on tryin'tho
Sutty Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) lol, i wasn't trying to do anything, just messing about for a few mins. there never were any horns on the recording anyway Edited October 10, 2008 by Sutty
