Mike Posted March 14, 2004 Posted March 14, 2004 No sign of it on 45 on skm Jerry Butler discography at SKM which seems to cover that era well https://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/jbutler.htm
Guest Posted March 14, 2004 Posted March 14, 2004 Thanks Mike, i guess it was an album only track.........but man alive what a track Brett
Guest Posted March 14, 2004 Posted March 14, 2004 post got me digging out his 92 cd mecury years to see if its on there for a listen but nah, is it on web anywhere? on above cd, anyone ever dubbed to play his unreleased version of "the right track"
Guest Posted March 14, 2004 Posted March 14, 2004 Hello "Guest" the track is definitely on a 1973 album release, but like i mentioned am unaware if it was released as a single, never the lees it is a incredible sound. Brett
Garethx Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 I think Brenda Lee Eager is one of the greatest underrated soul singers ever, full stop. Order the lp with confidence. It's packed with superb music. Their version of The Love We Had Stays On My Mind is better than The Dells (and that's saying something).
Mike Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 Jumping to the Butler thread Mattie Butler also of the clan has a article about her at https://www.petrafoundation.org/fellows/ff_mattiebutler.html May be of interest to those who enjoy background sort of stuff
