Guest Andy Kempster Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Played at Stafford. Covered up as Little Jean. A load of bollocks. dont you like it then pete
Pete S Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 dont you like it then pete No it's horrible, messy, too fast. But if you want a copy you might just about find the one that the Stafford boys pressed in the 80's, has Donald Jenkins on the other side, actually they either pressed it as Little Jean or Jimmy Raye or something like that, the label is Maf(mafia)Mon(monster)

Guest Matt Male Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 No it's horrible, messy, too fast. It's perfection. Totally dancable as well. Probably the one record i would sell my children to own. If you're reading this Butch they are four years old, don't each much and can be trained to carry your record boxes...
Mach Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 correct, sold my last one, 2 weeks ago. had half a dozen for 10yrs . just checked my files it was "LITTLE JOHN" just wait and see.

Tommaso Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Considering the quality and the rarity (2-3 known?) this is the most desiderable 45 on the planet for me.
Md Records Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Keb did play it, but I'm pretty sure Pat Brady spun it before Keb as "Jimmy Raye - I'm The Only One", Des Parker P.S. Whilst the World around us is crumbling to shit, thank God we can absorb, and discuss bits of trivia like this!

Guest Matt Male Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I know James has a copy.. ..but who has the others? Who owns this one?
Md Records Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Don't want to be tooooo "Anal" about this, and yes Pat Brady did play "Heartbreakin' Time".................but he did play Little John "Just Wait & See". From edition 4 of "Midnite Express" this is part of a review of records Pat listed in Black Echoes on 22/01/83 (prior to Keb D.J.'ing at Stafford) "JIMMY RAYE - I'M THE ONLY ONE" The title is a bit dubious, and judging by the number of times it's repeated, it is probably "True True Love" Des Parker
Iancsloft Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I know James has a copy.. ..but who has the others? ========================================================================= Steve Ashbourne underated DJ and all round nice guy from the Carlisle mega rare record triangle as a copy

I can confirm that Keb did cover it up as "I'm The Only One" by Jimmy Raye, and was played around Sept - Dec 1984. For a month or two, Keb actually used it as the starter record for his spots! At the time, and for a good few years after, it was thought to be a one-off. Strange how the only two known releases on GoGate are unbelievably rare! Edited October 9, 2008 by Gene-R
