Was this ever issued on the red Scepter label? or even the chocolate swirl label? I have it on Roadshow, and also on the Scepter that looks like the reissue label (Scepter in a white circle at the top). My Scepter copy says Demo, which they probably would not have made demos of a reissue?

can post a scan if needed

thanks

I don't think this ever came out on Scepter or if it did as a reissue. I've got mine on the short lived Scepter subsidiary Disco Gold (#27001) with a short 2:36 instrumental version on one side and a long version (4:13) on the other side. The original version came out on Roadshow.

Yes it definately came out on Scepter, a dark blue label with the vocal and instrumental on it, I'm not sure about it being a re-issue but I suppose it must have been if Roadshow was the original.

In 'Turn the beat around' byPeter Sharpiro Scepter label asked Tom Moulton to remix and make the original version longer so the issue with the disco mix is probably the second issue. makes sense doesn't it?

Just been and dug my UK copy out on People records, it's dated 1974 and is only 2,36 minutes long, it does not have the instrumental on the B side but a nice ballad called The Miracle. Any idea what year the Scepter and Roadshow releases are from?

All the best Bob
