Strange Boots

Just looking at another thread regarding UK boots which reminded me of a record I had

probably 20 odd years ago, it was a UK style 45 (i.e. pronged centre/ridged if thats the correct terminology!) of ' Ski-ing in the Snow ' with a white label no print (can't remember what was on the other side) anyway in my wisdom I decided to wash some records, as you do and when I dried

it I noticed the Vinyl peeled back a bit from the label, so as you do (bit like when you've got a scab I started picking it and to my amazement the 'kin Vinyl came away to reveal another record

underneath, decided to try and play it and could just make out Creedance Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon rising (I think) -

My question is

1/ were many records booted like this

2/ how the kin 'ell did they do it ?
