Mike Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 may have read that hippo accidently deleted his recent scans that upload and cause of that the comments been messed up recovered some of them, as interesting stuff posted up here, so if scans do get redone can cut and paste they read with posters name at bottom of post ta mike I've been intrigued by this obscure Philly label for a few Years, and managed to secure the "Ducky" track, and "Soul Downtown II" by Paul "Fat Daddy" Johnson on Uptown 2302, which is a Horn laden instrumental of Herb Johnson's "Carfare Back". The flip Of "Over & Over" is also, in my opinion, a cracking uptempo dance toon "Watch Your Girl" but like the top side, possibly a bit too fast for many!! I've persuaded him out of retirement as northern soul DJ and he'll be spinning the tunes at Solid Hit Soul In June, hopefully including this and his Other Brothers acetate, amongst others.
