Hi all

Dont know if anyones interested, but I recorded a radio show for BBC

radio leeds recently with top Yorkshire soul presenter James Addyman

for his show "Down in the grooves". The show will be broadcast on

10/4/2005.

Saturday Night/Sunday Morning 1am - 3am on:

BBC Radio Leeds 92.4FM/774AM

DAB Digital

Streamed live on the Internet @ https://www.bbc.co.uk/leeds

and archived for one week @

https://www.bbc.co.uk/leeds/content/article...sic_feature_dow

n_in_the_grooves_feature.shtml

The archive audio is now going up automatically later in the day so

should be available by Sunday afternoon - but it will be there all week.

Listen and enjoy !

Rob

Thanks for the link, Mike :sleep3:

First time I'd heard that Otis Lee track - wow!

It totally blew me away.

Only drawback is the pricetag. Aw bugger

Know the record jamie but I'm surprised you don't, especially as it was made big by fellow Leeds spinner Pat Brady...."Lee Blackmore & Soulsearchers" Big in the 80's...especially at Bradford :sleep3:

I'm constanly hearing 'new' stuff mate, and I'm loving it

Although I'm trapped in a middle-aged mans body  , I'm still relatively young!!!

I was a bit too young at Bradford to take all the Artists & Labels in thinking about it. I didn't collect then, and didn't really know any professional soulies

I just went and danced. Looking back, I wish I had taken notice  Plus I also wish I had bought shed loads of records at 1988 prices biggrin.gif

See you soon mate,

Jamie :shhh:

As well as dancing, buying records, chillin in the tea room we always used to find time for a game of cards in the balcony or behind curtains strangely enough :huh:

Good thing about this wonderful scene...we're all always learning :shhh:

Ah memories!

The toilets there reminded me of the ones in Swimming Baths. We used to play hide & seek on the Balcony biggrin.gif and I hated the tea room - they must have developed a special kettle that made it get hotter when it was poured into a cup. I just knew my hand would shake and burn all the skin off my hands :lol:

Going up and down the stairs to the Modern room was always fun. Once you got talking on the steps it was time to go home in no time biggrin.gif

Happy days

As for Lifeline, that all depends if I've got the kids this weekend. If not, I'll be there :shhh:
