Hi,

for my girlfriends birthday I gave her a 3 day trip to Copenhagen in October

(2 days after the Hamburg Soul Weekender ).

Any commendations for record shops, nice bars or restaurants, etc. ...it's more than 15 years ago that I was in Copenhagen. We will stay in the Vesterbrogade.

We flew into Copenhagen when we went to one of the Malmoe (Sweden) soul nights, which was quite close.

So, Helena or Hanna or...... (sorry, my mind's gone blank on all the boy's names)

I live in the southern part of Sweden. From my experience Copenhagen is a pretty hopeless city for finding soul vinyl, but hopefully someone can prove me wrong. Any recommendations from other forum members????

Malmoe and Gothenburg don´t have a lot to offer either, Stockholm though has a few specialist shops, but that´s far from Copenhagen of course, so of no help, I know...

Hi Maria, hope you and Arthur are doing fine. Miss you guys.

Yes, Copenhagen is only 30 mins away from Malmoe with train (they depart every 20 mins and there's no customs between Sweden and Denmark).

Our friends Gustav and Johannes are putting on soul & funk nights at a bar every Thursday here in Malmoe. On Saturday October 11th (though you might've already gone home by then) myself, Sebastian and the rest of the Function residents are djing at our venue in the smaller room. In the main room there's a live performance by a Swedish "soul" (pop shite ) singer. Think that's what's happening that week.

Suppose the best place to find any decent records for sale in this area is Sebastian's flat.

Some nice restaurants in copenhagen but it is an expensive city but you will know that if you have been before, dont forget to take her to the tivoli gardens have a good time and wrap up well we went in august 2 or 3 years ago and it was pretty cold then.
