Went to see Rob Smith yesterday while in Notts purchased a number of albums for 20p each ohmy.gif

One of which was Kenny Thomas - Voices, have fell head over heels for a track called 'outstanding' another was KIKI DEE on MFP which includes 'love like a warm kind of sorrow" now I;m not sure if this is jangling around in my head via the early Casino days or it was before that as a nine year old watching BLACK BEAUTY as a kid on TV.

Put me out of my misery someone...

Paul-----now you,re talking---Kiki Dee(Pauline Matthews--born Marshfield St. in Bradford---her house has a blue heritage plaque on it(don,t know if the Asians ,who inhabit all the street these days, know what it,s all about!!LOL)-lOVE IS A WARM KIND OF SORROW is superb and was played b4 "On a magic carpet ride" by one of the forgotten guys---York,s own --Alan Rhodes. And then "Why don,t i run away from you" on Fontana---the story i once heard was that Kiki went to Motown as B---Y G---y couldn,t get the White British "SOUL" singer he wanted (Dusty) and young Pauline was reccomended to him.

Best Tony

N.B rang Swish last week and spent 90 mins on the dog playing records to each other!!!
