Just noticed there's a Sammy Gaha-Thank You,Thank You.On French Barclay on his auction site,Apparently it's the first one to turn up on this label,as it's a 76 release it means the Canadian 77 releases on Right on are reissues.

I HOPE it goes for lot's of money :lol:

If it's more than 3 euros plus the postage you paid for it, you're laughing!!

My Sammy Gaha has got misfiled and I cannot find it now - so trivia question is it the same record that Quickest Way Out did? - having played QWO yesterday it certainly sounds familiar / similar.

I've never really understood the demand for this track, because to me it sounds like something the M-People would do! :D

Why it's worth £300 I do not know! :D

I remember it as a Searling play late Wigan,he covered it as the New York Port Authority.Sounded very good at the time.

I was gonna auction some but changed my mind ,I was quoted..''only the best condition and we take 10% and you can put a reserve on'' so in fairness to him its an OK deal.

mind you I bet there's a big queue with some of the prices he apparently gets.

I have a record with him. Sent it at the beginning of February, and it has yet to come to auction.

Still

good things come to those who wait, come to those who wait...

(is it stuck in your head yet?) :D

Mikey,

prod him, 'cos at times he is a clueless as Notts Forest. He auctioned a Stemmons Express for me - eventually, after I tried out a few things I learnt at Abu Ghraib to jog his memory where he'd filed the bloody thing.

Ditto, three records, but sent early March......

Give him a gentle nudge and he'll get back to you with the date that they are going up... he did with me....

A dreadful rock record by a white french (Canadian?) guy, why was it ever played I ask myself? Horrible, horrible, record IMO. Almost as bad as "I Got It From Heaven" by Billy Harner, and others of it's ilk, ugh. thmbdn.gif

I like it and will admit to having it. The problem is Christian, is that it's what ever was being spun at your particular ''time'' that floated your boat at that time. Also, ampetamines were the drug of choice then, where it's alcohol now. The Billy Harner is just another of those shit 'rare, so must be good records', I much prefer he's outing on Match - I don't want to cry.

I know styles and times change, and I sure know I used to like some things which I today find mildly embarassing, others sound better now than ever before. All this considered and taken into account there are still many tracks from the past (possibly as many 'new' tunes today, if not more?) that just leaves you scratching your head wondering "WHY?".
