Pete S Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 This is an answer record to The Miracles - Shop Around, the only one I;d heard before was debbie Dean's "Don't let him shop around", this one is called Doncha Shop Around and it has an absolutely brilliant sax break in the middle, though I would have thought Motown would have sued them for copyright. Anyway, usual question - anyone know this?

Pete S Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 Apparently it was withdrawn, to save a Motown lawsuit. Richard Barrett production, from memory. No producer or arranger mentioned Tone but she is backed by Richard Barretts Orchestra. Composers Barrett-Clowney. Who's Clowney, heard that name before.

Sean Hampsey Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Just managed to pick it up for $5 on evilbay QoFxx Good result. I've sold two of these on eBay in the past 10 years and always got $50+ for it. Withdrawn 45, due to legal action by Berry Gordy, and of interest to US Motown completists! Sean
Pete S Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 Got another one of these if anyone wants it, 40 quid including post
