Northern Soul Uk Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 (edited) Got mine for £12 on 'Boom' absolute classic. Normal copy like not Demo. Edited September 14, 2008 by steveluigi
Pomonkey Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 We've just booked Dean to play his first hometown NYC gig since 1965!! Saturday Sep27th if any of you happen to be Stateside, you can check out the details here: www.myspace.com/digdeepernyc
Prophonics 2029 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Is this the one where the Demo was booted?
Prophonics 2029 Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 (edited) Thanks 45, I have never checked the B-side to see what's on the other side. Mine are both issues in fact all my Booms are issues. Edited September 15, 2008 by Prophonics 2029
Guest Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Thanks 45, I have never checked the B-side to see what's on the other side. Mine are both issues in fact all my Booms are issues. The issues look stunning!! really nice looking label!
45cellar Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 The issues look stunning!! really nice looking label! Agreed, The BOOM Label is an attractive Label. I love to collect all variations of a Label. It's always fascinated me regarding the White DEMO. In a Radio Station scenario surely a White DEMO format would be lost within a sea of other White DEMO's. It would then be the Multi-coloured Labels / DEMO's that would stand out as .... "PLEASE PLAY THIS RECORD" Just wondering how much thought process went into this at the time.
macca Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 ask dave moore, he's a known WD fetishist (?). :-) thanks for the info. shall we say 60-80 for a minter then, or more? I haven't seen it listed anywhere for ages, unlike the issues.

I haven't seen it listed anywhere for ages, unlike the issues. I got a demo off Pete Smith last year for £50, which was a very good price imo. It's a shade under mint, maybe VG++ or excellent, depending on how you grade 'em.
macca Posted September 17, 2008 Author Posted September 17, 2008 Thanks everybody. Thought the issue was a lot more common for some reason...
