A very good - and intiguing - question ........ If anyone should know , it may well be Mr Levine , as I seem to recall there was a longevity " under wraps " , for a lot of his discoveries ....... Garethx Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 The Just Brothers "Go On And Laugh" cover-up has been played on and off for nearly thirty years now. A one-off acetate whose true identity is apparently unknown, so don't know if this should count.
Val (Chunky) Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Mellow Souls was covered up for years

Epic Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 (edited) Of the current crop - "Foolish Girl" C/U has been played for quite a while now - although quite a lot of dealers/DJs know who it is. Edited September 12, 2008 by epic
Guest in town Mikey Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 What about that 70s track that Butch and Mick Smith played covered up for years? There was a running joke on here for years about everyone knowing who it was, but it had been covered for so long they didnt bother changing. I cant remember the artist or title, but it goes dah dah, dahdahdah. :-)
ShorterSoul Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Rose Valentine c/up - when he's not around (little ann). This must have been covered up for quite a few years.. also the Martha Jean Love - Old time lover, not sure if this is a cover up or real artist???
Dylan Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 a few years ago there was an uptempo female thing with a very catchy hook "suprise" is that still a c/u ?

Chalky Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 a few years ago there was an uptempo female thing with a very catchy hook "suprise" is that still a c/u ? yes its still covered up. About 6 or 7 years now since Andy Dyson first found one. is this with butch not sure I know this one ? yes Butch has it, doesn't play it enough IMO. Not sure that counts , as its an unknown acetate? also John V had it at Morcombe JV offered it to Searling so he told me at the end of Wigan. He said Richard gave it him back saying it was too good for the northern crowd....apparently.

I would say it's 'James Bynum - Love Music' - It's been known as that for over 30 years now. Don't think anyone knows who it actually is.
