What was the title on the Bobby Dobyne?

'Soulful Sound Of Music'...and £275 was IMO way too cheap. Would take a lot more than that to make me even think about selling mine.

Yeh, pretty sure I have the issue of that 45.

Yellow & Black label Sebastian?

Sean

Sean, yes it's a yellow/black label...Crown Ltd.

Wasn't an acetate on auction though, but a vinyl test pressing. Actually think the flip is just as good.

I love the tune !

I love how he says "HO-ney" (like all southern sounding) on both I want you to make my life over and on Spent a lot of years. Spent a lot of years is very hard to find as an issue with the flip.

Yes sounds more like h-o-r-n-e-y.....Might have that isue with a flip - will need to dig it out.

Both we're promo'd at virtually the same time just before the label closed, so both are probably as rare as each other?

btw Best way to tell the Anderson Bros is to make sure the mono side is actually mono! It definitely sounds different to the Stereo mix and is only on the original. I always play the Mono side out........keeps the Soul Police away

Cheers

Wonder if the Durettes would have attracted more attention if it had been touted for the other side

Or am i wrong and that's a decent price

Just noticed this on Johns auction. John, I think you'll find the "Monster Masters" are vinyl

Ruby Jean - Empty Words - SBK

Jeeze! The very first label! Near everyone has only ever seen this 45 on the styrene, "Monster Masters" label.......

Is the flip the same? I vaguely remember bidding on it the one time I've seen it on ebay and don't remember it having the "no no never again" side which is the side I know on the monster masters record, but I remember listening to it and thinking it was a nice northern side.
