Dave Fleming Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 offers taken on this great 1975 original release. MIXED EMOTIONS-GOLD OF MY LIFE-ROCK-WAY-EX CONDITION John have you got a scan of it,cheers Dave f..............
Andreas Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 2nd press from ´75/´76 ........no, no, no, not that topic again
Spaghetti Weston Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 HERE WE GO AGAIN I THINK IT WAS AGREED THAT BOTH OF THESE WERE LEGIT FIRST ISSUES,I HAVE BOTH AND THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT ONE HAS THE ARANGERS NAME UNDER THE TITLE OTHERWISE THE VINYL AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS THE SAME
Sebastian Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 (edited) Are the matrix details the EXACT same on both copies? I did some close comparisons of the printing style in your scans. Check out the pictures below. Everything above the red lines is taken from the copy without arranger credits, and everything below the red lines is taken from the copy with arranger credits. It looks as if the label on the copy with arranger credits has been copied and the edges of the text are a bit bloated/blurred. Not that it proves anything, but it's interesting to see two copies scanned with the same scanner side by side. Edited September 4, 2008 by Sebastian
Andreas Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 HERES THE OTHE COPY you and a lot of other people are probably right. but for me and maybe only for me is the information that the copy with the aranger under the band title acouple of months after the 300 copies of them without the aranger were pressed are reason enough still to be after a copy without and counting this one to the 2nd press. but as i stated.....just for me! no attack and no try to soil your selling.

Andreas Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 what would you call it then for me it is even not the first press then, but i know, if i would be always be that strong with the presses, than i couldn´t even not play out a l.allen press instead of a larry allen or sometimes not a west coast press of an as first on the west coast pressed record or even not an issue of which were also made dj-copies before......i don´t know what it is, but i had a couple of times the chance to buy a "mixed emotions ORIGINAL with arranger shown" but i always had the feeling with this record "no, thanks...it´s not original". but that was probably always of the long discussions about it which makes me willing to go 100% sure. anyway, i have this feeling now, with a lot of records of those "later" presses which excists and who knows, it´s maybe another kind of MIXED EMOTIONS btw.....anyone has an ORIGINAL (without the arranger shown ) for sale? - pm me!

Don't think that proves anything Sebastian, just less ink in the printer for one copy over the other.
