Guest Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 (edited) To all those who knew Jack and the other Falkirk/Scotland crowd I have some sad news. Jackie passed away Tues this week at home. I think it is fair to say Jack lost his way in recent years but I truly hope he is now at peace. Sadly the Falkirk all nighter room ( up there) is getting fuller as they years go by and ultimatley we will all be there. I just hope Hank had the bottles of coke ready ( to those who don't get this, an IN joke, as I'd rather laugh to remember him) RIP JP Keep The Faith ps Dave Nowell please get in touch need a favour for his family pps this is Tommy Cockburn Edited August 30, 2008 by landfillgas

I have good memories of Jack. My lasting image is him dancing to Lover's Concerto wearing his cap (Bob the bunnett). So that is what I'll see when I think of him. You'll have to say goodbye for me Tommy as you know I'm too far away. I sent an e-mail to Dave Nowell so hopefully he'll get in touch. Cheerio oor Jackie.

Under the circs it went very well this morning Service was great no hymn singing just wigan tunes 3 before eight and a bit of here I go again, brought many lumps to my throat I can tell you. I even "clapped" out of tune and mimed Hoi Hoi Hoi They had wigan badges on the order of service etc picture of the casino on the back page, they have more copies if you want one sent? Atttendees included Jean Duffy (flew up this morning) Barbara Duffy, Paddy Fletcher,Richard (Dick) Mackie, Jiggy, Avron,The Scobies, Me :-) Ritchie Cram and lots more Lots of old well kent faces and I tried to smile all the way. It was a gorgeous sunny day too. Talking to his brothers this has been a time coming and I am guessing he knew the end was nigh and prefered to be at home rather than in hospital Think of him fondly as you remember him,it the best thing
