Guest MarkP
just had a few from the states (came in a job lot) i cant find much info on, so if anyone can help Chris Harris and the Soul Agents - You really fooled me - Dial. Stafford spin maybe? Barbara and the browns - In my heart - Stax. Found the cd clip on refosoul, but would like to know about the flip "Please be honest with me", if it has been played out, value etc. The Larks - Muddy road - Violet. doo wop meets r&b, male group sound. I quite like this though it is a bit early for me. Bill Doggett - Honky Tonk - King, original with Peacock Alley on the flip, found some bits about the re-issues, but not this. Patience and Prudence - Tonight you belong to me - Liberty, again found some info on a chatahoochee remake, but not this. Apaches - skippin parts 1 and 2 - Hi, really odd tune on an odd black demo King Curtis and the Kingpins - harper valley PTA - Atco, found info on a version by someone else but not this Thanks in advance. michael-j
King Curtis and the Kingpins - harper valley PTA - Atco, found info on a version by someone else but not this i don't understand what information you want? 'Harper Valley PTA' is a really well known country song, the Jeannie Riley version was a million seller, and King Curtis covered loads of pop hits... Guest MarkP
sorry if i didnt explain very well, i dont know the tracks at all, and what i found out about them wasnt much, im not a big fan of atlantic/atco/stax output and the king curtis side didnt come up on a search and although i had heard of the song i didnt know anything about this version. As you can see i dont post much and i am not really a hive of knowledge about records, so thought i would ask on here instead of wasting time searching and finding nothing or next to nothing. It seems to me that some collectors and people on here seem to have forgotten more than i have ever known, so this seems the best place to find out about stuff. Basically i would like to know if any one knows the records, if they were played out and where, and value (if any), and anything else of interest. cheers Link to comment Social source share
