Mark R Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 A while ago I think I posted a couple of mixes I'd put together several years ago and they seemed quite popular. I certainly posted them on EMS. I found a further CD with one on, from September 2004, and thought it would be a nice Bank Holiday treat to post it up.............but I didn't do it in time!! But now it's here: https://rcpt.yousendit.com/600704045/bd532d...17dcac44718871f It's similar to the others.........soulful house, thru some deeper jazzy bits. I think the music speaks for itself.........but I would, or I wouldn't have put these tracks together would I?? You'll notice from the title of the file that I'm not really a mixer..........I find it doesn't help to take yourself too seriously!! I'll certainly never let that stop me from playing records of this quality. Hope you enjoy...........the first cut is especially for those that think house has nothing to do with soul music...........if you still think that after listening to track 1, then it's time to go back to "soul school" IMVHO. Enjoy, Mark R
Ted Massey Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Had a quick flick throu just dubbing it for the car tremendous stuff mark

Enjoy, Mark R Hi Mark, Excellent stuff, I'd almost forgotten how good the Master & apprentice is, will have to dig it out now. We have very similar taste in deep, soulful jazzy house music...David
Mark R Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 How about a list then? List to follow mate...........it's no big secret, just don't have one ready to hand, and they are 4 year old tunes mate, positively ancient now I do remember what they all are, but want to get any mix info correct...........always important for these 12's. Cheers, Mark R
Lloydee Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 It's almost like University Challenge this; our starter for 10; can you list Mark Randle's CD mix from Sept 2004, an extra 20 points if you can answer before Mr Randle himself

Mark R Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 OK, track listing as follows folks..............struggled with info on correct mixes, as although I did eventually find a listing, I hadn't included mix details. I've done my best to determine the mixes, short of digging out the 12's, which would be a task in itself!! So don't hold me to it.......as far as I recall, the Phuture Sole & the Sicania Soul are the only ones to be careful with, as each was released on 2 12's with different mixes. Rufuss feat. Yuanist Woods - This Could Be Love (EU Qalomota 12" "The Master & Apprentice E.P.") 280 West feat. Diamond Temple - Fly (280 West Mix) (US Phuture Sole 12") Knee Deep feat. Brooke Russel - I Won't Let You Down (Knee Deep Club Mix) (US Knee Deep 12") Gabriel Rene - Spirit (US Soulfuric W/L WMC 2004 Sampler 12") Dimitri from Paris feat. Omar - Strong Man (For Real) (EU Discograph 12") Terry Hunter feat. Charlotte Smalls - Follow You (Terry Hunter Main Mix) (US T's Box 12") Steal Vybe - A New Beginning (US Steal Vybe 12") Glenn Underground - Hard Tymes (US Eargasmic 12" "Archives E.P") Mena Keys - D.C. Dub Groove (US Jellybean Soul 12") Sicania Soul - Starlite (Sicania Soul Live Mix) (US Irma 12") Groove Junkies pres. Solara - Sunshine (Sol Brilliante) (GJ's Nueva Soul Mix) (US More House 12") Chez Damier feat. Leroy Burgess - Your Love (Lifted Me Up) (Deep Vocal Mix) (US Track Mode 12") Kenny Bobien - Hiya Luv (JAP Victor CD "Keep Hope Alive") Loosefingers - When Summer Comes (US Alleviated 12") Cheers, Mark R
