just wondering how many releases are on this label ive got about a dozen or so

would like soul sourcers that have anything on josie to sell to P.M me obviously i have a few bits on the label so only be interested in the stuff iv'e not got thanks

any recomendations would be appreciated smile.gif

There were about 280 or so 45s released on JOSIE between 1954 and 1971/1972-ish.

This one, like quite a few Josie titles, was licensed from a local label. The Truetones first appeared on the Soulville label out of Atlanta (not to be confused with the Pennsylvania-based Soulville label). I think the Truetones might have been based in either South or North Carolina, however.

I have the truetones on LSP and it's a washington DC label and has the same names as the josie release. Are they definitely not from DC? I also have a michael hunter and the truetones on carrie but it's the nashville distributed carrie and says recorded in nashville and there are no common names (it just says james hendrix).

not sure what style of record is it mike ?? nice pedigree of producers

in work at mo but i'll get it on youtube later today and post up for you to have a listen. i have no idea of price but i should imagine its a cheapie
