Little-stevie Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Was looking to go to Brighton for a long weekend and see freinds plus take in soul events too.. Just been looking at whats on for August bank holiday ... I have never seen as much choice for weekenders, all niter, all dayers/ club nights and the bonus of the Wigan Casino tribute band playing in Stockport ... Where are you all going.. maybe that will make my mind up... .. I am sure ther are many more events too, not listed on here.. How can i choose.. Please help We have talked about too many venues before.. I aint sure any other weekend could top this for events of so many kinds... If they all do well then the scene is indeed healthy, we shall see the feedback... Good luck to you all... ps.. Would love to see a full list of whats on for the weekend.. How many events can there be in the uk on bank hols such as this... 50 events??? 100 events??? more

Anyway, nevermind about bank holiday, you should just be planning to get yourself your to Bury tomorrow.. (sorry couldn't resist!) nah, seriously I've got friends who are split between The Orwell, the Blackpool weekender, quite a few going up to Morcambe, I want to go to Barnoldswick and others are going up to Soulfhull too.. I couldn't find much on next weekend but yes, I see what you mean. and of course there are other's who will be staying in cos it's the weekend before payday and they'll be skint cos they're coming to Bury tomorrow instead!. Usually I just do 3 night at the Crown with Mischief & John Buck. Got tickets for Hipshaker on Saturday though, thought I'd give them a go, Pete Tebbutt is doing the Soul room, so I don't have to put up with all the "moddy" stuff, and if it's crap, there's always the crown again.
