Guest northernmod Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Anybody knows which version of the r&b classic "Just a little bit" is playing in this video? (btw during a very nice footage by my friend Daniele ) I know the versions of Roy Head, Jerry Butler and Rosco Gordon, and it doesn't seem one of those. Thanks for helping Brian
Guest northernmod Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Peg Leg Moffett - Peachtree Thanks! is it a hard one to get on 45?
Guest Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Thanks! is it a hard one to get on 45? Dont know £40/50 maybe, but the A side "the shocker" is worth loads if corectly spelt " the socker" what mine doesn't
Prophonics 2029 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 How old is this version 1960ts, tiny Topsy for me but its very good.
Guest northernmod Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Erhm....I just played the video and the refosoul...are we sure is that version (the flip of "The Shocker")?? Do you think it was being played pitched up? The refosoul seems much slower and late 60s...
Mot Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Jerry Butler on VeeJay does a very nice sleezy R&B version, great Mod shuffler. All the best Mark
Guest northernmod Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 It's not the showstoppers in the video (btw very nice version, I didn't knew it). The one by tiny topsy it's a top tune! (600 $ current value?) But I'd still like to know which is the version played in the video!

Kev Connellan Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 The wiered world of soul eh !! i do like "school prom" very much !!,whats rarer ? Hi Ken, i have no idea which is rarer. I only bought it because I had not seen the label before. All i can tell you is my copy of F T's was a cheap buy-it-now. I too think both sides are great.
Guest northernmod Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Elvis?? I'd find it a bit strange...Elvis' voice is not a common one... And that one in the video seem a "black" one, not a version performed by a white beat group...but I may be wrong.
