Hi Bob, enjoyed the show very much!

In particular the following tunes:

Dee Clark - I don't need anybody like you

Magna Funk - Do a little love - Omega

Jimmy Scott - Consider me

Relatives - More time

Motha's funk - We got love - Street Star

and...

Lenny Williams - I'd cry every minute of the day

HIS EARLY PRE-T.O.P.-WORK WAS MADE AVAILABLE ON SOME CD COMP A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO. ONE CAN INSTANTLY RECOGNISE HIS VOICE, ALREADY BACK THEN HE HAD DEVELOPED HIS ORIGINAL VOCAL STYLE!

Phonetics - Pretty girl

GREAT TO HEAR THE EARLIEST WORK OF WILLIE HUTCH

Brenda Holloway - Where were you

ACTUALLY HAD A BRENDA HOLLOWAY WEEKEND THIS LAST WEEKEND, ENJOYING THAT MID-60´S TAMLA SOUND

Sherman Brothers - Don't cry

THIS BEING A EUROPEAN RECORD - DOES THIS GROUP HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH TONY SHERMAN OUT OF FRANCE, WHO CUT A WONDERFUL SOLO LP MUCH LATER?

FRANKIE KARL! DON´T BE AFRAID, YOU WILL BE WELL TAKEN CARE OF UP THERE! R.I.P.

Regards

Mel

Hi Mel. What is the CD with early lenny williams? I'd like to get that.

Sorry Bob, it´s a Various Artists-comp, not only Lenny Williams stuff on there, don´t remember the title of the CD(s), since I don´t own a copy, but possibly put out by one of those UK `reissue/rare vinyl comp´ labels?! Very little help I know...

BTW, do you know if there was a Tony Sherman in The Sherman Brothers, is it a French record?

Best,

Mel
