Gene-r Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 (edited) Been having a sort through my collection, and it struck me just how many records there are out there which you can get for less than £20, which are top-quality soul records, and should be given the reactivation they deserve. We’ve had a few “cheap as chips” threads over the years, so allow me to reactivate it with a few more under-£20 finds. THE CRAMPTON SISTERS: I Didn’t Know What Time It Was (DCP) THE EMOTIONS: I Can’t Stand No More Heartaches (Brainstorm) THE YOUNG FOLK: Lonely Girl (Mar-V-Lus) RON MURPHY: Hollow Man (20th Century) THE IMPALAS: Whip It On Me (Bunky) THE FAWNS: Nothing But Love Can Save Me (Cap City) RICK & FLOYD: Baby You Got Me Going (Lasco) Let’s hear about some more – over to you! Benji Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Benny Latimore - Girl I Got News For You - Dade this was absolutey hammered here in Munich earlier this year. Couldn't and still can't stand it, IMO too much of a gloria gaynor "I will survive" blue print two brilliant cheapies that I used to play and that always got the punters dancing: Lenis Guess - Working for my baby Five Stairsteps - Don't waste your time
Guest bradcam Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 JUDY HARRIS - You Touched Me (SUN) This played next to J COVEY - A Little Bit Hurt What a match
ShorterSoul Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Accents - New Girl - M-Pac (just as good if not better than Jimmie & Entertainers). Didn't this get released twice - as The Spring song and then New Girl. Looking at the Onederful discography they appear to have the same release number
