Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 trammps stop and think is on dutch german and french philly int 45 only on UK/US LP I'm pretty sure that "Stop And Think" was issued here as the B-side of "Trammps Disco Theme"... Here's a few that weren't, though (and that I think had no US equivalent): Nona Hendryx - Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart Sammy Davis Jr - John Shaft Frankie Valli - Just Look What You've Done ...sorry, that's the best I can do on a Monday morning! I'll try to think of a few more later on TONE
Soul Shrews Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Supremes `Long Gone Lover` on the flip to the Dutch ´Come See About Me` Salena Jones `Am I The Same Girl` again Dutch only CBS 45 Cheers Paul
Sebastian Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Not the best track ever, or even remotely northern... but The Supremes version of "Only Sixteen" was issued TWICE in Denmark with different catalogue numbers and different sleeves! Never issued as a 7" in the UK or US as far as I know.
Sebastian Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 betty wright open the door only on italian rca 45 Here it is:

Guest Soulbrew Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Right lads, before I flood this thread What's the posting criteria? Does it just need to be an European issue of some US soul record? Got a decent amount of stuff around...
pikeys dog Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Supposed to be European only issues - IE No U.S. 45 release at the time.

Benji Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) Hesitations 45 that James Trouble was interested in on another thread.... I think it was Marc Forrest who said in another thread that there were plenty of copies around in Germany. It didn't ring any bell for me but after I've seen that scan I confirm what Marc said. I picked up plenty of copies over the years and sold them all to UK collectors. Didn't know that it never came out on 45 anywhere, always assumed it was sought after because of the picture cover! (now where's that head-banging-on-the-wall emoticon when you need it? ) Other euro-only 45s that I can think of now are Archie Bell - thousand wonders - Spanish Atlantic Four Tops - Helpless - French EP Jackie Edwards - I feel so bad (duet version) - French EP And i think the greek release of either Frank Beverly-If that's what you wanted or Dee Dee Sharp-What kind of lady was a different mix not issued on 45 anywhere else?? Edited July 15, 2008 by benji
Soul-slider Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Apologies if I've breached the rules as this DID get a release in the USA (not sure in UK)....BUT just look at this super Dutch sleeve!

Guest Soulbrew Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Right peeps, not sure if all of the following will fit the picture, but then again you'll see some stuff you don't see everyday ;-) Let's roll Tamiko Jones - Let it flow - Contempo IT Carol Douglas - Headline news - Rca Victor IT Marie Knight - Cry me a river - Musicor IT - This is one of my current fave. Ask Karen the Soulgirl about it ;-) Arthur Conley - Piu' bellissima - Ri-fi - Italian only - It's a Southern Soul/R&B pastiche half sung in Italian. I doubt it was released anywhere else ;-) Dionne Warwick - Dedicato all'amore - Scepter IT - Two slowies Four Tops - Bernardette EP - Tamla FR - Containing Bernardette/Brenda/I got a feeling/Then Nancy Holloway - Tu n'est pas venu - Decca FR - This is the real deal, gutsy midtempo r&B with a sparse arrangement and wicked wha-doo-doo type choruses! Yann Vatiste had to stop and listen to it while I played at Cleethorpes.
