Bought a signed Falcons CD, from the band personally when they played their one and only UK gig at Northampton a couple of years ago. They were excellent live and blown away by the reception they got. The CD is much treasured even though admittedly, I don't like most of the tracks on it!

I'm in the process of doing a review of the cd for Soul Junction. It features the period in the Falcons history that featured Sonny Munro: the Lupine & Big Wheel recordings plus some Sonny Munro solo outings and some unissued stuff from the Falcons and Sonny Munro.

Superb CD includes all the Big Wheel 45's 'Good Good Feeling', 'Love Look In Her Eyes', 'Standing On Guard', 'I'm A Fool I Must Love You' etc. etc. also includes the early Lu Pine side 'Has It Happened To You Yet' nice twenty tracker that's well worth a listen, full preview/review on next Sunday's show www.starpointradio.com Sunday July 20th also thanks to Dave Welding for supplying two copies as prizes for an easy to enter Email competition, superb sound quality, good sleeve notes and all in all a very well presented package.

I only recieved the three promo copies from Dave Welding this week, the official release date was July 7th, Dave does come on here so I thought he would have posted up the information? guess he must be busy or on holiday or something, I think it's up to the record companies to perhaps inform and promote their releases but you are correct perhaps we should keep our finger on the pulse a little better if nothing else to let everyone know that this stuff is out there, I make a point of reviewing, previewing and playing as much as I can via the likes of Ace/Kent etc. via the show so try to do my bit if I can, maybe Mike should get someone to review/preview stuff on Soul Source which I'm sure would help the companies out.

Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Hi Mark, as I said earlier, after the LaBeat review I did I was again asked by Dave to review the Falcons release. Gladly accepted and was given a copy at Lifeline, hopefully the review will be done very soon.
