Guest NEV Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Hi all have a choon i can't identify ,but it's buggin me Never been good at remembering the words to any song but these lyrics are going over and over so here goes... "OLD TIME LOVER IS BACK IN TOWN" Female vocal (60's) Would have to say this is prob a big dancefloor choon and well known but not heard it fo a long time . give it your best shot Nev
Monique Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 As far as I know it's a Butch play covered up as Mary Jean Love. Other side is 'That's how the story goes' but not sure if this is the title.
Guest marco Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Definitely sounds like Butch's one off - think it's actually covered as Martha Jean Love. Fantastic tune! Butch plays another one off that's a very similar sound - came off Shifty and is covered as Clara Hardy "If I ever loved anyone". If you like Martah Jean Love you'll love that too.
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Is the B-side That's The Way The Story Goes. What lyrics - Just like the guys from Uncle I am her hear for business and not just to fool around. I am sure I had a sound clip up on hear.
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 (edited) Tune and a half, not many of these to the pound, I think it sounds a bit Phily like Merben or East Coast thrusting girlie stomper powered by the drums with that haunting Melatron organ. It's probably from Basildon an unissued Cilla Black song. Edited July 14, 2008 by Prophonics 2029
