night nurse Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 That version of "Nowhere To Run" from "The Warriors" soundtrack takes some beating! I never did find out who it was......... Ian D awesome film and a great tune to boot
Chris L Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I am sure i could have said TV too but i wondered how many Northern soul songs etc get used in films soundtracks and if so what ones, We all know Saturday Night Fever and there use of disco but surely some films must have used something Northern or even Motown THE most famous of all..... "Dobie Gray - Out on the floor" from the film "Out of sight" a real lemon of a movie but based on the appearance of Dobie, Charger decided to release the single (it actually wasn't due for release as a single). If I knew how to get it from the video (I have a copy of the the film) I'd put it on YouTube after all it remains an incon tune. Check it out on The Movie Data Base : https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060807/ Dobie Gray is also featured in Uptown Saturday Night (same tune), Casino - The In-Crowd, Heartbreak Hotel - Drift away. The lad certainly gets about. Chris L
