I suspect all our copies on the site @ less than 1/2 that price, will be left the building by Monday.

The White Demo's though are really hard to find..

Great record by the way, but not even remotely rare.

A brilliant record and funnily enough the perfect example of the Carolina's Blue Eyed Northern sound despite the fact that it's not blue-eyed and not from the Carolinas.

Brilliant example of how chinese whispers pushes prices up. Heard it played out (after 20 years) at Middleton a few months ago, then saw a couple of wants for it on here... there you go, suddenly it's an in demand record and up for sale for five times its value.

Yes it's a superb record, but it had it's day at Leicester Oddfellows club circa 1983. Maybe even before then.

I wont be flogging mine. Who knows how much it'll cost to replace it in six months time... huh.gif

Don't know about "it had it's day" ?? think you mean it had a lot of play

I remember being on a mp3 forum a few yrs back, a certain member called Robbie Price (who i believe comes from around Leicester way) rated this in his all time top 10 ,when i posted it up .

Seem to remember he had very good taste in music cos he always posted up a fantastic set!

My first taste of this was from Keith M at the Casino 1978 ish best £1.00 £5.00 (had 2 copies) I ever spent until I got the LP in stereo, some of the tracks Mayfield, Davis sound really come out in the horns.

Same thing?

I took 'had it's day' as getting plenty of plays or do you mean something different? Commanding a bigger price?

It did get a lot of plays early 80s in East Mids, Fleet etc but seem to recall after about 83 84 disappeared off play lists.

Harmonies tight as a nut :) Last heard it at Lifeline a couple of years back
