Guest in town Mikey Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Noel was the one who had a house party band. He also sang with Otis who was really his sister (a well kept secret) in the Temptations when they went through their reggae phase.....blimey some soul fans know nowt He and his brother moved from Manchester to Primrose Hill, and used to shop in Camden Safeway. They also refused my offer of a coffee while they were stood outside Chris Evans' house
Tomangoes Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Motown history should be compulsory education IMO. Actually the normal music questions are about the 'classics' and they always get answered so it just shows what those studious types listen to. The original chin strokers, I think. Ed
sister dawn Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 He and his brother moved from Manchester to Primrose Hill, and used to shop in Camden Safeway. They also refused my offer of a coffee while they were stood outside Chris Evans' house Thats cos they only drink tea Mikey!! Pair of clean living boys that they are.
Guest JJMMWGDuPree Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Thats cos they only drink tea Mikey!! Pair of clean living boys that they are. I think you'll find that was Elvis. A lot of people mistook him for two people.
Drew3 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Sh*t! I always thought that Otis Redding, his brother Noel, the Temptations, the Platters and Jimi Hendrix where all in the Supremes along with Betty Swann and that I Can't Help Myself by the Supremes was only ever 'covered up' as The Krankies! The DJ who sold me that record (once he'd uncovered it) with that line up shall for now remain nameless!!!!!! Keep the faith my arse, the bastard!!!!!!!!! Drew.
Prophonics 2029 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 (edited) Isley Brothers - Testify Jimi Hendrix played on this horrible tune as well Bazza Edited July 9, 2008 by Prophonics 2029
Bazza Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Isley Brothers - Testify Jimi Hendrix played on this horrible tune as well Bazza Frank Wilson played bassoon and Berry Gordy was on the harp, he was an accomplished harpist. I forget who played on the bongos Diana Ross springs to mind. Otis came over to the UK in 1961 and formed a tender relationship with Bernard Cribbins and played the spoons on the famous My Old Man's A Dustman. Ay !,what you on about, you been on the sauce Bazza
