Ted Massey Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I thought the Antellects would go for more didnt someone pay 6k + for it
pikeys dog Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 More suprising is the Jay and the Americans - I'd have rated it at no more than £40 Mint.
Pomonkey Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Mint issue of Sensitive Mind was only $75 less than a year ago on ebay
Pauldonnelly Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 when I put my shitty bits up for sale I'll be popping over to see Manny, always gets the prices that everyone else dreams about
Marc Forrest Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Mint issue of Sensitive Mind was only $75 less than a year ago on ebay Nth unusual as the second last Ghetto Boys on ebay had no bids at all and the last copy went a week ago for only just 334 USD... Ebay seems to have still a potential to grow...still a lot cllectors seem to be not aware of it ?

I know someone who paid $1000 for a beat up copy! It doesn't seem like the best place to sell sweet soul. From now on, everyone should just sell sweet soul to me directly...

It doesn't seem like the best place to sell sweet soul. From now on, everyone should just sell sweet soul to me directly... I sold 2 copies of the El Count Executives for over $1,000 each. It's a very rare sweet soul record. But I dont think John's auction is really the venue that people go to find those kinds of records, so I'm not surprised it didnt sell for a lot. I'm sure if more US collectors knew there was a chance of winning such a record at a bargain price (relatively speaking), they'd pay more attention to his site, though and prices for those items might go up in the future. Not sure if it was John's own record or a consigment, but if I were the consignor, I'd be very disappointed in the sale price.

I remember another rare sweet soul 45 -- jazzie cazzie and the 8 sounds on knaptown -- going for like 75 pounds recently on his auction
