Supercorsa Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Out of Interest how much was the Ortheia Barnes, Fantastic peice of Vinyl. Cheers Jules About £50, a little bit more than I was hoping to pay for one to be honest. I'd been after a copy for a little while, but never seemed to see a copy for sale. Then I mentioned that I'd heard it at Soul Revolution last month and Sister Dawn put me onto this copy. Still I managed to get Lou Johnson for just £20, seen it on some lists/sites for £60, so I suppose they all even themselves out in the end.

I know Manship lists it at £30, got a copy for a little over a dollar, only VG but plays perfect, A few of my mates are now after it, just does not seem to come up for sale. manged to get the Lou Johnson for about £13 from the states mint - so was pleased with that, but like you say it all evens it's self out. All the best jules

wolfie66 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 how much was the butlers, i have one in my sales box only reason im asking Got it for 30 which is pretty reasonable I think, there's been one on ebay for weeks at a "Buy it now" for £40 (voxpopmusic) and another at same price from jkvinyl, so 30 sounds about right Great tune though bad for the knees at my age
wolfie66 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Also got through a few albums on reissue for a bit of line-dancing in a North Welsh barn private party in a couple of weeks for £20 - good old Dusty Groove Orchestra Harlow - El Exigente on Fania, nice boogaloo/shingaling Latin, and what a 'tache! Latin Blues Band feat: Luis Alves - Take a trip pussycat on Speed, wacked out psychedelic Latin, recommended for side one alone, if this don't get 'em dancing I'll burn the place down Good God! A Gospel Funk Hymnal - Various, Funky and Righteous! Bohannon - Stop & Go - Dakar, funky stompers and rare grooves, this is lovely No good for the Soul Police I admit but great for private dos
