Bit of a revival on this one now

Mary wells, what a cracking record, just right for today if it was rare it would be up there with the rest

Its been on constantly since I got a copy :-) I love mary wells stuff - there must be hundreds of good tunes that got passed over "in the day" that would be perfect now regardless of rarity - if its right its right! IMO

Is it the flip of Benny Sigler being played at the mo? I think its a better side, less poppy more soul!

and often gets turn table action in the recored room. Clip below

I agree. "The Doctor" is an absolutely fabulous record! I've got two of 'em! (Jubilee and Stateside) Never part with it. (Yet another Dave Godin tip - thanks Dave!)

Johnny Jay & Gangbusters played C.1973 I think(?) I seem to recall it listed as being played at that time anyway.

Dunno if I ever heard it! - Seem to recall it advertised as being played at the Highland Room on one of those ads in B&S...(?) - though I may be totally wrong. (Gor' blimey! - It was 35 years ago!)

Definitely. Think it was even booted (on a light green label)
