On a personal note, my earliest big purchase(although small in comparison) was a Shane Martin on US Epic at Wigan when it was just going big. I Paid £6. The same night a UK Demo went for £12. Paul Probably from me, I had half a dozen Shane Ms and didn't know my prices, I was very popular. I think The Fuller Bros was the 2nd copy that Dave Burton took up to the Torch from Soho, I think the first was already up North but don't quote me. Tams never fetched alot of money on ABC ( we all had it on HMV) and stuff like Tami Lynn black atlantic was 17s 6d Los Canarios 10s Sapphires £3 etc etc. Remember buying an english collection of a guy called Des Harris from Huddersfield for aroud £160 - it had all Major Lance's Columbia demos, All Capitol 66 demos, looking for you demo etc. Think you got the remnants of that lot as well Mr Wigley Julian (skint from buying back what I once had ) Julian I've still got most of your Blues and Soul mags as well Can you believe thats 20 years ago when I bought them......... Cheers ,Eddie I paid £15 at the Torch for said love you baby. Sold it on to a club dj for £20 about a month later unfortunately it came thru on import 2 weeks later and I didn't know---honest guv. seriously I had no idea even though usually at that time you sort of knew what was coming thru a week or two before it happened. Not in this case . I think Minnie played it but at the time there were not many around when I bought it --pretty sure on that. Anyway the club dj thought I was a right b***ard at the time.
