OR ARE YOU SAVING YOURSELF FOR THE ALLNIGHTER SEE YOU SOON MATE GASHER Gash, If you think its high thats why ONO. But you don't see this come up for sale often and Ronnie already has two offers. And as you know its a fantastic tune, 1200 in manship book. As for Paterson, honestly we havent had such a discussion, the question should really be when you going to get yer finger out and put one of your decent regular soul night on up here again? The Allnighter, don't make me laugh, you know I wont get to DJ ... Gee us phone mate when yer onshore. Des Edited July 6, 2008 by Dezzie Boy

sepia Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 not rare up here. we have or had 4 copies in aberdeen.lol.
jocko Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 (edited) not rare up here. we have or had 4 copies in aberdeen.lol. And what part of 4 copies makes it not rare, currently some records where there are 100's of copies on here alone are touted as rare. or should that be in demand Been around for a long time now, Colin Law gave both sides some welly in 80's (the Gene McDaniels c/u side after I nagged him to death, in fact think I borrowed it a couple of times to play that side) and wouldn't say there have been a lot turning up, still feel its pretty rare in today's market, and more importantly still sounds good to my ears! sepia Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 even that boggs r closed now. u cant even take a piss these days. anyway the talc would get stuck in between the gaps in the tiles & the punters would just go to sniff the toilet cleaning blocks. had dez in this affo, told him all of above, but a bit more subtle than you richie, lol. back to the record,he's had a few nice offers.
Tubbs Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 back to the record,he's had a few nice offers. Obviously nae £900 or it would have a sold sign by now ha ha. depends on what you call rare for me it's 5 copies or less but even if it was 10 or 20 copies that was classed as rare then this still wouldn't be rare, hard to find yes but rare no
Des Crombie Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 (edited) depends on what you call rare for me it's 5 copies or less but even if it was 10 or 20 copies that was classed as rare then this still wouldn't be rare, hard to find yes but rare no The reason why there are 4 up here is mainly due to fact we have good taste. As for rarity, I only said that you don't see this come up often. The million dollars book puts it in the estimated less than 50 category. I don't know if this is a good estimate or not but if it is then given the amount of collectors out there and the few times I have seen one for sale, I would personally consider this scarce. A hard one. However, far more important is the shear quality of "she just sits there", the haunting lyrics painting a picture of loss which never ceases to give me a shiver every time I hear it. And given the current job our boys are doing is just as pertinent today. This is what I call soul. Not to mention the other side and the records history of it not officially being released and apparently in small quantity. That's why I would never sell my own copy unless I really had to. I wouldn't be surprised if others, who have this, felt the same. The only reasons this one is for sale is the current owner is down on his luck and needs to sell. So give us a break Link to Refosoul sound file, not from actual record for sale. Edited June 20, 2008 by Dezzie Boy
