I just uploaded some pictures from my Chicago trip last year + New York 1992 and the Southport Weekender 1990. You'll also see a few old faces from the soul scene on show too.

Check the GALLERY section at www.independentmovement.co.uk

Will hopefully have more pictures + 400 record ads & gig posters uploaded next week.

Enjoy !

Bloody hell, I remember the Paddocks Club. We drove down and couldn't find it...dumped the car at St Pauls and got a cab there. Went back for car at about 4 in morning and got pulled by police :lol:

Just seen the Kevin Kelly shots at The Paddock and Gordon and not forgetting Chris Huggins. Remember very well.....Oxford Road Leicester. Brilliant Mark. :ohmy:

Whatever happened to Graeme Ellis.....used to enjoy his spots back in the day. Saw Mick Godfrey at Cleethorpes and I swear he's still got the same specs on, but he looks like he now has his hair done at the same place as the Hair Bear Bunch :ohmy:

That's fxxkin Hilarious :lol::lol::(

Was he just fed up with it all to sell all his records ? I've not seen him since the first soul essence I went to about 8-9 years ago. He was with Neil (is he still with Tina ?). Graeme had a box of albums in his car to flog. He was quite high up on John Anderson's pecking order I remember. (I'm sure Simon M can enlighten us about that).

I'm just about holding on to what little hair I have left myself Robin.

I only just recently put that Time Is Right coat in some charity shop. I should of taken it over to Ibiza for Dave, I did take some early Cut It Out lists over there on one of my visits. I actually spoke to Mr Browning yesterday, he's well as ever.

I presume Big Jim is still hibernating in Rickmanworth.

You still selling records in Bristol Mike ?

:wicked::shades:laugh.gif He asked via the southport forum if I was still in touch with you, he then said about getting your number. Maybe he wants to report on Wimbledon from your front room 200 miles away again.

I'ld be very surprised Chalky. As Dave F says I hear he just does the family thing now (a bit like me!)

Mark, Hey, those jackets seemed so cool!!!

Say Hi to Dave when you speak to him - many happy memories of him - He was the biggest influence on me in listening to new styles of music for which I'll always be grateful.

I didn't think it was same guy but haven't been along to the events in Goole either. Just when Dave F said he saw him at Lifeline and Boomerang, two venues not too far from Goole just made me wonder.
