rswells Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Raphael Munnings - Takin You Higher (Just Like Climbin a Ladder)/Loneliness [Alston] 1972 If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Munnings was one of the founders of the Caribbean funk outfit Beginning of the End, but apart from that I can't find out much about this one. Jamie Ross - Try My Love/Time Will Change the Feelin [Cat] 1982 My copy is pressed off-center, as I understand most copies are. "Try My Love" sounds an awful lot like "War" by Edwin Starr to me, too. Both records have great, funky uptempo dancers that would seem to get spins in a Modern Room or at a Funk Night. Anyways, any ideas about value or other information would be greatly appreciated!
Jason S Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Sold my Jamie Ross for £80 last year, it too was mildy off centre as they probably all are. I'd be surprised if it did get spins in modern rooms seeing as it's more gritty funk than anything approaching 'modern'...weirder things have happened, though.
