Guest bradcam Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Thank you all for your information. I take it Mod and Philips must have had a distribution deal. The reason I noticed the record was purely because of Madeline Bell being on the Mod label. Anyone know the value? I ain't selling, but as someone might have said to Arthur Negus "for insurance purposes only!" Thanks

Guest Paul Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Hello, Jake was Johnny Moore's brother, Jake Moore. Minnie Riperton was a backing vocalist on those sessions. Best regards, Paul Mooney

Nickinstoke Posted June 24 Posted June 24 (edited) I hope it’s OK to revive this thread. I looked through some old CDs, given away at venues years ago, and came across Johnny Moore - No cash, no charge, a new track to me. I couldn’t find any info on Discogs but there’s a YouTube clip from 14 years ago, credited to Jake Moore. Does anyone know anything about this track. Is it Johnny Moore’s brother? Edited June 24 by Nickinstoke
Tlscapital Posted June 24 Posted June 24 So I guess the take on your CD is yet another recording than this fab live one of Jake Moore. Is it ?
Nickinstoke Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Yes, it sounds like a studio version. The YouTube clip includes an image of a CD which I couldn’t find any trace of - maybe the source of the version on my CD. 1
