Guest rachel Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Can you please use Refosoul rather than attaching mp3s - ta!
Harry Crosby Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 I love them both, However this one was a Hidden Gem for far too many years. I wonder why no Single release Originally. Carla Thomas being the Artist with the Higher profile chartwise. Agree with Original question, and both could have charted surely. Allways wondered that myself roger, isn`t there another version of i play for keeps as well
Sean Hampsey Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Allways wondered that myself roger, isn`t there another version of i play for keeps as well The 'other version' is Acetate only. An old 'one off' Thorne spin for Rod Dearlove. Surprised us all when we found the 'finished' mix on the Memphis Queen LP. Quality either way! Sean

Guest WPaulVanDyk Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Not so much rare but Sam cooke - Sugar dumpling how that was not a chart hit is beyond me but then people would say we can't have it played out Also Jimmy James - A Man like Me sold enough copies but still not enough to chart and to me both tunes are classic well i love them
