Jack Montgomery " Dear Beloved " Wd

I was recently trawling through information , and amongst it . were scans of the promotional release of / for Jack Montgomery's " Dear Beloved " .........

I did not take much notice at first , but when I looked , one label states the release number - SCE 12152 . with

" Promotional Copy " , and the other states the release number as SCE 12152 DJ , with the legend " Not For Sale " and " Promotional Copy " ........

Why the two promotional releases ? Is this due to different pressing plants for the record ?

Whilst we are on this subject , why are there two different titles - " Dear Beloved " and " My Dear Beloved " on the release copies ? , and for what reason ? ........

When I asked Don Mancha about the two different titles on the issue copies he wasn't even aware of a difference and couldn't provide any explanation.

Hi Malc

I have been working on that list you sent to me.

I know that I have a Coloured DEMO scan somewhere.

Trouble is they are mostly on a disk that has gone A.W.O.L.

Any record that I own, isn't a problem scan wise.

As I said, I don't own this one, but have found this scan.

I believe that it is the Different pressing plants involved.

Here's another that you were after, again I don't have the record but found this scan.

Hi Roger - and thanks .......

The scan of " DB " you posted now means there are three different WD releases , the one above with the addition of A to the label / release number - SCE 12152 A ........

Possibly as you state , and I thought , different pressing plants , but why the difference in the wording relating to the promotional release , and the the catalogue numbering ? .........
