Mark Bicknell Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Third Guitar - Sad Girl - Rojac 120, stunning sleeper of a record that needs waking up, not that rare but may prove a little hard to find but well worth the hunt, certainly will be giving this some turntable action in 'The Soul Shack' and out and about at the odd gig, so right for today and never really been played that much as I recall, fantastic production and just holds that something a little special, should find copies of this knocking about for under £40.00 but even the top end it's worth every cent. Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Guest Johnny Mack Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Think Richard Searling used to play this one many moons ago - really nice record, has a 70's crossover-ish feel but is 68 or 69 I think - Great selection Mark ! This 45 is probably the easiest to find of the three releases by Third Guitar on Rojac - the other releases are well sought after 45's on the funk scene. Take care John
Andybellwood Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Cheers Mossy for posting the sound clip and scan on this little beauty, as I said not been played that much over the years and so right for now, will certainly have it's moment in the spotlight I'm sure, awesome tuneage of the highest order. Regards - Mark Bicknell. THANKS TO HIGHLIGHTING ANOTHER GEM MARK -WILL BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THIS ONE . ANDY
Mark Bicknell Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 THANKS TO HIGHLIGHTING ANOTHER GEM MARK -WILL BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THIS ONE . ANDY Great little record Andy, plenty more out there too like this which don't cost an arm and a leg either, will dig out one or two more to spotlight in the future on here. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
Mark Bicknell Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 really nice song but dont see how its a dancer, more of a head nodder Who mentioned anything about being a 'Dancer'? I certainly did'nt, simply said it's good enough to gain some turntable action having a nice crossover feel to it which goes down well in some areas of the scene, good call though with the invention of the 'Head Nodder' term lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
