Pete S Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 THE SATISFACTIONS - TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT - SMASH ISSUE Got so many people asking me about this, I'm supposed to be listing it tomorrow and I was going to stick £75 on it but someone just offered me more than that, whats an honest valuation of this record at the moment anyone? Condition is visually EX- with no scratches but a few marks, play grade is EX+ almost MINT except for the last miliseconds and the run out where you can hear a bit of crackle. Thanks in advance Pete
Dave Pinch Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 (edited) £125 ish or just sell it to the bloke thats made you an offer pete dave Edited June 1, 2008 by dave pinch
Quinvy Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 At least £100 now. Demand is high....takes me back to the Pendulum circa 1973....fantastic tune, sounds perfect for today.
Dave Rimmer Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I was asked for it twice last night Pete by different people, and I know Jellybean and Mart are desperate for a copy. I'd have put £120 on it if I had one for sale

Ste Henderson Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 What about a white demo? must be rarer than the issue. Cheers Steve
Pete S Posted June 2, 2008 Author Posted June 2, 2008 What about a white demo? must be rarer than the issue. Cheers Steve I'd have thought the opposite Steve - people had to buy an issue - demos were just given away. I'd ask the same for both.
Martyn Pitt Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I'd have thought the opposite Steve - people had to buy an issue - demos were just given away. I'd ask the same for both. As I commented on your sales post Pete, given the choice of a record to spend £120 on from your list I would take the Al Wilson demo. I must admit that I am amazed at what folks pay for common records these days, especially as rarity has no bearing on price. Martyn

Martyn I think I'd have to disagree here, that's the third Al Wilson I've had in 2 years - not saying it's not rare, it is, I just got lucky - but I've only had one Satisfactions in 5 years before this. So if you asked me go find one, I don't think I could.

Guest Rob Glover Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 If it saves arguements i'll take it off your hands for £75! Oh dear Kylee, you told me you were saving money
Guest Mrs Simsy Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Oh dear Kylee, you told me you were saving money Did i?! For The Satisfactions i'd be prepared to be skint for the month!

So if you asked me go find one, I don't think I could. I take your point. It is probably because I have seen loads of them out and about in dealers boxes at the £10 - £20 mark back in the 90's, when nobody wanted them because they were only £10 - £20, and common. Same thing with the Montclairs - Hung Up On Your Love, early 90's Pep had a box full of issues and demos in his shop £10 / £20. Martyn
