Billy Sha-rae - I'm Gone - Value

Recommended Posts

Was after a value of this, can only find prices for blue or brown/burgundy issues. This is a stamped white demo Spectrum, which I'd like to sell. It's got a couple of very light scuffs nap, so about VG+.

This was a soul bowl ' one to watch' in 1975 with a price tag of couple a quid , so with out hearing it and nothing else on the list i rang for a copy .Now i dont know if you remember but trying to get through at 9 am was always hellish they were at the time the main suppliers of rare records . Any way i got one and i played it and i thought yep that'll do nicely , played at the saracens head soul do in leicester with Paul Ruzities promoting and that was the last time, kept it for 30 odd years and now cant find it ( probally got pinched ) it's a good record penned i think by jack ashford and never really had it's day until the ulta rare Eddie parkers version pounded the casino walls in the late 7ts.Cost today would be about £20 for an issue £30 for your demo ..there thats my memory good luck briles..Pete

Anyone got an idea what the Vogue version is worth, just that I had a pm from a Guy with the same record asking and I have no idea ?

In the last couple of years there been 2 or 3 on ebay all gong for £20- £35

There was however a french vogue acetate that someone was selling for either £100 or $100 cannot remeber which but he didnt sell it first time round
