Spanner Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 £1700 with 20 days to go? How? Cus some body wants itttttttttttttttttt
boba Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 meanwhile the hubba hubba is at £1 with 13 days to go my copy of the hubba hubba 45 is pressed off center (both sides), I have to center it slightly to play it. Is this a common problem with this 45? Thanks.
Guest Dan Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Cus some body wants itttttttttttttttttt yep fair enough - but why don't they get one from somewhere else for a grand or less? i've had three over the years and the last one went for a grand, the generally agreed 'going rate' (though there's no such thing really i know), to someone on here a year or so ago. if i've had three, think how many copies serious collectors have had. it's not rare! i'm not complaining, fools and their money are soon parted etc, i've certainly been parted from my own wedge by paying over the odds a few times for sure. just curious.

Guest Dan Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 btw that scan was from https://www.dcsoulrecordings.com/index.php?id=88
boba Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 (edited) btw that scan was from https://www.dcsoulrecordings.com/index.php?id=88 that scan is of MY 45!!! I sent it to Kevin for his website. It is not visibly off-center, but it wobbles enough that it is audible and I have to center it. Also, a photo that doesn't show the entire thing to the edge wouldn't prove anything anyways. Does anyone else's copy do this? Thanks. Edited May 29, 2008 by boba
Mark Bicknell Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Have 'Show Stopper'/'Don't Let The Door Hit You Back' - Hem bought it when it was really exspensive at £50.00 in the early 80's, fantastic double header as is 'Finally Waking Up (Bashful Man)' and the superb flip 'Fairy Tales Just Ain't True' - Ninandy, stunning record. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
