The Ones Happy Day

With a cross-reference to the Kings Go Forth thread on here and Danny Hernandez. Been playing The Ones "Happy Day" at our Attic night, also gave it a spin at the last Vault of Soul, at Qube Sheffield. Sounds great out on the floors.

Question is: I believe this sold considerable numbers on local Detroit label SPIRIT before being taken up by Motown, just don't see them around. John Manship had one on his list a couple of months ago when I was trying to track down a few for friends, but turned out to be a listing error (anyhow thanks for the Ex Motown copy John, much appreciated and great value). Are there plenty around and I'm just not seeing them?

"Happy Day" is the flip of this:

By the way KevH, just picked up another M- copy on Motown if you want to do a swap deal for that battered copy. Dean

Ken was tha a fiver for a SPIRIT label or Motown. Don't think the Spirit should be that difficult just don't see them.

Sorry Motown.

Was also on Fenton (# 2514), possibly before Spirit?

Prefer DH and the Ones' version of Laura Lee's "As Long As I've Got You" myself, also their take on "Don't Let Me Lose This Dream" (both only on Rare Earth as far as I'm aware...)
