Guest Tommy Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi Everyone, I have another rarity up for auction out of the collection. the moments - "baby" i want you - hog. Silly rare Northern Soul 45 out of Washington DC, one hell of a record, and only a small handful of copies in existence. This copy is Vg and plays very well. There is a light biro mark on the label, but nothing drastic. Sound clip can be provided to potential buyers, just ask. Minimum bids - 1000.00 pounds. I'll keep the auction going until SUNDAY, 18TH OF MAY, 8PM U.K. TIME. The highest bid gets it. I don't mind you guys paying via Paypal but on this one I'll have to request the additional 4%. I'm sorry about that. Charging fees isn't usually my style, but this one is out of the collection. Everything on the regular sales lists are fees free as you all know. All the best, Tommy.

Flanny was massive in the mid 80's for Keb then later Rob Marriott when it was only known via a studio acetate with no artist credits (played as the Fabulous Impacts). Wasn't till some years later that an actual issue surfaced. Great taste as usual Flanny Edited May 13, 2008 by chalky

Ian J Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Few of these must have turned up. One dealer already got one on auction, another dealer supposed to be putting one up in the next couple of weeks and one here on soul source.

Don't feel you're doing Tom's efforts here much of a service with 'supposed to be's' Ian, in truth. Could you be a little more specific?

It's just a total fluke that both me and Tim Brown have one up for auction right now. To be honest i wouldnt have put it up for auction if i would have known he had one for sale, but i suppose it's too late now. Anyways, my kick off is lower than his Tommy.
Chris Anderton Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Be interesting to see how this one goes Tommy! Chris

Karlm Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Early Mizell Brothers one, right? Seen a US re-issue of it with picture sleeve. Great track remember hearing it at Cleethorpes last year. Can't remember who played it but I think either Soul Sam or Mick Smith on his Saturday late night set.
