Guest Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi , can anyone tell me how to claim my money back off ebay please. Ive been waiting nearly 4 weeks for a record from the states to no avail. Ive e-mailed him 4 times , no answer. Ive put a claim in to ebay resolution centre and waiting the next step...but i thought bugger it , i just want me money back. I see on his feedback he's been sending to England left right & centre but mine aint one of them.
Guest Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Usually takes a couple or three weeks, Ebay sort of mediates between the two parties but as you are the one who`s been wronged...so to speak (not saying he did it on purpose) it will be up to him to sort it out amicably with a refund or Paypal will refund you in full. The onus is on the seller to make sure his customer, ergo YOU.....ends up smiling.

pikeys dog Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 i'd give the seller a bit more leeway... You'll feel a right twart if you get the money back - then the record drops on your doormat the day after - i know I have in the past.

Sutty Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 give them a little time, similar thing happened to me, got my money back as I also noticed that the seller suddenly had 17 negative feedbacks in a month so assumed it was a con as also no response via ebay. 3 weeks after the refund the records arrived, the girl had to go away at short notice and forgot to take her ebay shop offline with her auctions in, she got thrown off ebay, got loads of chargebacks, and i couldn't contact her via ebay to try and pay her again as her account was no longer valid. she lost 2 years trading goodwill and a lot of money over a simple mistake, if i could find out who she was now i'd pay her straight away, i felt terrible about it, it must have cost her thousands. it's not always as bad as it seems, and things do also get delayed or misdirected in the post. cheers Sutty
Prophonics 2029 Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Escalate to a claim you can always resolve it later on, if you don't you can run out of time.
Ernie Andrews Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Had a good result and abad one with paypal If you buy from Hong Kong dont bother claiming as Ebay or Paypal have little power Us was fine got my money back after escalation to a claim althought it tok afew weeks. Records seem to be taking extra time from the Staes so 6 weeks is not out of the question at the moment!
