Dave Moore Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 THANKS IN ADVANCE...!! Was released on a Dionn lookalike UK 45 a few years ago Albert. NO US Issue. Should be around for about 10-15UKP I would have thought.
Soul-slider Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 seriously, £25 and rising...if you can get one, bit in-demand at the moment.
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 seriously, £25 and rising...if you can get one, bit in-demand at the moment. Saw it for sale for twice that recently, and I actually saw that amount of money being handed over for it. Preposterous, IMO, for a 21st century issue of a previously unissued 60s track... ...I haven't got one though, Dave, so if you can find me one for ten to fifteen quid I'll be delighted to reimburse you in full and immediately....
Supercorsa Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 (edited) I got a copy last year from Ian Clark on Ebay. I was actually outbid, but think he had spare copies, so was offered one for sale at my highest bid (which was about £25). Edited May 11, 2008 by Supercorsa
Pat Wallace Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Got mine at at venue a couple of years ago at £25. Thought that was a bit steep at the time but I was suffering from the Kronenburg experience, a fatal condition when mixed with a sales box. Pat
Kevinkent Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Got it about 3-4 years ago for £2.50. Wish I'd bought all the other copies that were there. -Kev.

El Corol Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Just get the CD with it on...........Jeez never thought I'd hear myself say (or write) those words " get the CD"....but unless that look alike issue is legit then I would hope that the CD pays some money to the original artists...........but I know I could be very naive in that comment!!!!!!
El Corol Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Just out of interest what cd is it on? I'll need to get back to you with exact title but a comp of Philly Soul.....I'll dig it out and let you know Rob
Simon T Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) Just out of interest what cd is it on? 'The Northern Side Of Philly Soul' Jamie/Guyden label Edited May 18, 2008 by Simon T
Md Records Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Both the C.D. and "45" were legally issued by Frank Lipsius of "Jamie/Guyden" though whether Moses Smith recieved any dosh is another matter. Moses Smith also did a fantastic version of "Tell It Like It Is" which is still in the can. Des Parker

Guest Matt Male Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Love it. Not sure if i could bring myself to buy the Dionn issue though. Here's a brilliant dancer dancing to it...
Bigsoulman Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I also paid £2.50 for my copy at one of the Blackpool weekenders, it was nice to hear it played in that youtube clip cos everytime I play mine out it sounds crap! , a very muddy mix that totally spoils an otherwise great tune for me, Lenny

Des Parker sure someone once said this was done at same session as Girl Across The Street. Anyone know the dates when both recorded? What do the liner notes of the cd say?
