Thanks for that BUT the cognoscenti have always seemed to say that the lead voice on Gotta Pay Your Dues just doesn't sound like Johnny Moore and that the group was in a state of flux at ths time ??????

I can remember this debate about 30 odd years ago and I played Johnny Moores "Lonely heart in the city" (awesome tune!!) on one deck and "Dues" on the other switching back and forth. Never was 100% but its as near as makes no difference.

Steve, the Johnny Moore who recorded all those classic soul sides out of Chicago was a completely different person to the legendary Johnny Moore of the Drifters.
